About J Brand Wagyu
Built by family, on foundational genetics
J Brand Wagyu was formed by two brothers, Bill and Robert Johnson, wanting to produce high-quality, 100% Wagyu cattle. The operation is in Welsh, Louisiana, and serves national and international customers by delivering cattle and genetics across the country.
Being a family-owned operation is important at J Brand Wagyu. Bill states he can’t put a price on seeing his nieces and nephew coming out to the farm and experiencing the farm first-hand while running around, playing, and assisting with farm tasks.
Currently, J Brand Wagyu sells bulls, steers, heifers, cows, and embryos through private treaty sales or outside auctions. Semen will be sold very soon from a couple of promising young bulls. The family also has a goal of beginning a farm-to-table program in the future showcasing the quality of product their cattle are producing.
